here i am

Man finds it hard to get what he wants, because he does not want the best. God finds it hard to give, because He would give the best and the man will not take it.

- George McDonald

so so long i used tumblr. just thought to pop by to see and say some words. haha…

today, Chris shared about how we should not based on our feelings to make decisions but commitments. and decisions made by feelings will always change. really true. it seems easy to love God when life is good, but difficult when life is hard. isn’t that ironic?

commitments… ain’t an easy thing. because humans are just full of emotions. but, commitments therefore become our guidelines and boundaries when we feel emotional. they are like reminders to us when we don’t feel good. in life, there are just bound to have commitments. in relationships, in work, in study… and to God.

as we grow up, there are going to be people who disappoint us, hurt us, leave us, betray us etc. of course there are also those who love us, care for us and think for us… but when the bad happened, some choose to hold their fist up again the sky, and ask God why. yeah, i wonder why. but some choose to lift their hands, to believe again.

today, God spoke.

fire fighting days are certainly not easy. especially to save the same forest from burning down every single time. but that is the more we should never give up. because if it burn down, it will become nothing. but if we save it, it can still bear fruits one day.

sometimes, we got to stop looking at how big the fire is, how bad our situation are. but we just got look at God alone, who is able. don’t hold your fist up and fight the wrong enemy, but lift your hands up in surrender.

so, here i am Lord.

so long i used tumblr! i just had to say that… lol

God has indeed set eternity in our hearts. nothing satisfy than serving on such a big day, nothing beats teaching and ministering to someone which was the highlight of the day. tired. but i know i want to do it. funny.

a new strength. a new love. a new breakthrough… oh God!!!!

#STOPKONY 2012

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y4MnpzG5Sqc

it is quite interesting to see how America’s politicians becomes interested in something they thought it was not important till Americans demand attention for it.

it is interesting the idea and concept used to put forth this campaign.

it is even more interesting that it is mainly youths supporting this cause, through efforts and finances.

right now, i live in Singapore, safe and sound, with #firstworldpain. but there are kids out there in the world, living each day in fear, who will hope to live where i live.

i did not know who was the number one war criminal. now i do.

2012

2012 is certainly not the end of the world. ended yesterday feeling encouraged and inspired from the leaders’ meeting after hearing all the wow stories. 2011 ended fruitful,in some way and another.

starting a new year can seem a little routine. 2011, 2012, the calendar just goes back to Jan again. but i guess the perspective you have to embrace the new year is very important. and 2012, is certainly like what Pastor How said, a year of order. finding your place, your dreams and vision, new structure, new order, putting things into place… to welcome the harvest that is yet to come.

2012, a fresh heart. a fresh spirit. there is no one season that last forever.

Gal 6:8-10

7-8Don’t be misled: No one makes a fool of God. What a person plants, he will harvest. The person who plants selfishness, ignoring the needs of others—ignoring God!—harvests a crop of weeds. All he’ll have to show for his life is weeds! But the one who plants in response to God, letting God’s Spirit do the growth work in him, harvests a crop of real life, eternal life.

9-10So let’s not allow ourselves to get fatigued doing good. At the right time we will harvest a good crop if we don’t give up, or quit. Right now, therefore, every time we get the chance, let us work for the benefit of all, starting with the people closest to us in the community of faith.

there is a season for ploughing, a season of harvesting. in due season which refers to the right time, God promise we will harvest good crop. and time is in God’s hand. never too late, never too early. He knows when.

at the end of the day, we fight for what we value in our lives. no matter what, in life, we got to fight for something, instead of just cruising through, waiting for what is to come and accept it. that life… way too boring. then, what is more important is what you fight for. fight for something worth fighting. fight for something that is eternal. i believe that make your battle more worth.
